I hate this time of year. January and February are always such a downer after December. This year is especially bad. All the Valentine's stuff was in the malls and stores at the beginning of January. I hate walking through all that crap. I hate Valentine's day.
When I was a kid it was always something to look forward to because everyone was equal. At least at the school I went to. Everyone got Valentines. Once I got to Junior high that was when everything changed and became more damning. I didn't even get Valentine's cards from my friends then.
Now here I am going to be 28 years old and all of my friends save maybe 2 have boyfriends/girlfriends/fiances/husbands/wives and I don't. All the girls that I used to hang out with on Valentine's Day to make it bearable are gone. For the last few weeks I've tried to think of something I could do that would make it better but I have come up with no ideas at all.
I hate Valentine's Day because it reminds me of what a worthless human being I am.
